Enable JavaScript in Safari

Safari is the default browser of the Apple Mac macOS operating system.

Follow this guide to enable JavaScript in Safari web browser on macOS.

1. Click on ‘Safari’ in the toolbar

In the top toolbar menu, click on the Safari item. This toolbar will only show when you have Safari web browser open.


2. Click on ‘Preferences’ in the menu.

After clicking on Safari in the top bar, a drop-down menu will open. Choose Preferences options there.


3. Go to the ‘Security’ tab

Options under preferences are divided by their category under different tabs. Click on security to see options related to JavaScript.


4. Click on the Enable JavaScript check-box

If checkbox before Enable JavaScript is unchecked. Click on it to enable JavaScript. It will show a blue tick symbol when enabled.
